New bird hide and information boards
During lockdown, we have been making the most of the reduced visitor numbers by commissioning Arfon Timber to build a bird screen at the far side of the lake. We will also be working on making this bird hide accessible for those with reduced mobility.

Felling works have also taken place recently, in an area of Llyn Parc Mawr which was previously inaccessible due to the number of fallen trees. The timber and brash will soon be removed, allowing us to re-plant the area with a mix of carefully chosen tree species. We look forward to being able to improve this area with volunteers and groups during the forthcoming months, and we will be working on creating a path through the woodland which will create a circular route around the lake.
We have installed information boards in the forage forest area and around the pond, and we will be creating a shell path around the dipping ponds.
We’ve also recently added a living roof of sedum to the bird screen.
